Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Launch Event to be held at PAX Prime

Square Enix has announced today that they will be holding an event open to all PAX Prime 2013 attendees to celebrate the launch of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Scheduled from August 30 – September 1, the event will feature opening remarks from the game’s development team, including Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida, Sound Director Masayoshi Soken and Localization Lead Michael-Christopher Koji Fox. Following the presentation, members of the development team will host a special autograph session for fans. Attendees are also invited to hands-on gameplay sessions where they can experience the game’s battle components and compete for prizes. Upon entrance to the event, attendees will be entered into a swag raffle drawing; winners will be announced via Twitter.

At PAX Prime 2013, Square Enix will also be hosting a booth which will features playable kiosks for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster, Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut, and Bloodmasque. There will also be theater presentations and photo booths for Thief and Murdered: Soul Suspect.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is set to launch next week on August 27th. You can pre-order the PlayStation 3 and PC versions off of Amazon now for $39.99 and $29.99 respectively. There is also a Collector’s Edition available for both versions – you can order the PS3 Collector’s Edition now off of Amazon for $79.99,  and the PC Downloadable Collector’s Edition for $49.99 off of Amazon. Alternatively, you can purchase Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn off the PlayStation store in both the standard edition and the collector’s edition.
