It would seem Steam has updated their listing for Final Fantasy III for PC, despite no official announcement from Square Enix. The page, previously barren of any info regarding when it’d release, has been updated to state that the game will unlock in 4 days. In other words, Final Fantasy III will be officially released on Steam on May 27, 2014.
While we’ve heard nothing from Square Enix to confirm this date, it is most likely true. While you still can’t pre-order the title on Steam (though the game page for it can be found here), you can pre-order it on the Humble Store for $15.99.
Final Fantasy III has been optimized for PC gaming with new and improved 3D visuals and story sequences, and will include Steam Trading Cards and Achievements and new visual designs for the Job Mastery Cards.
