In a surprise announcement today, Final Fantasy IX has been announced to be releasing on Steam, Android, and iOS by Square Enix. As-per the trailer, the game has received a number of interface upgrades as well as smoothing out of the models.
While there’s no announced release date, the game simply states that it is Coming Soon. It is likely that we will see Final Fantasy IX appear on Steam and mobile devices within the next few months.
