During tonight’s Sony conference, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was reinforced for a 2014 release on PlayStation 4 in Japan – and likely worldwide. Additionally, they announced the start of the beta test for the PlayStation 4 version – February 22, 2014, the same date as the Japanese release.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is already available for PC and PlayStation 3, and if you have an account from either of those you will be able to use it when you purchase the PS4 version. Also, if you own the PlayStation 3 version you will receive the PlayStation 4 version free of charge.
During the montage they also showed Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV, however no new footage or information was released on them.
