The most recent issue of Jump highlights the main villain of Final Fantasy XIII-2, Caius Ballad. He is describe as chasing after Noel, with a hidden, overwhelming strength. Caius rarely displays his emotions, and so his thoughts and purpose are largely unknown.
Jump also detailed the game’s Fragment system. You can collect a total of 160 throughout the game by resolving various anomalies that are present throughout time and space. These fragments carry knowledge of the past.
